In a press release on Oct. 15, 2024, Whisper Aero announced they partnered with Stanley Black & Decker to bring its proprietary WhisperDrive™ technology to Stanley Black & Decker’s product portfolio. This will begin with a collaboration to integrate the aerospace-engineered WhisperDrive™ system into a lineup of Stanley Black & Decker products.

Localities, cities, and states continue to seek ways to keep their communities clean without disturbing neighborhoods or interrupting workplaces. The advent of electric motors, controllers, and batteries have provided new opportunities to innovate outdoor power equipment. However, delivering superior performance and low noise has proven a critical challenge in recent years and limited the adoption of cordless electric tools

Over the last year, Whisper Aero has engaged in extensive design, manufacturing, and test experiments to successfully demonstrate Whisper’s aerospace technology can be affordably embedded into commercial tools. Whisper has shown breakthroughs in electric runtime and UltraQuiet™ performance with its WhisperDrive™ technology through multiple generations of leaf blower prototypes, proving it’s possible to be 16 dBA quieter at 50 feet while still moving 40% more air and using 40% less energy compared to industry leading tools.

More recently, Whisper Aero announced the first electric tow behind blower powered by WhisperDrive™ technology that delivers powerful 250 Newton blowing performance while operating under 65 dBA. Whisper’s tow behind blower leverages multiple WhisperDrives™ for golf course cleanup, landscape management tasks, highway debris removal, and other large-scale maintenance efforts where moving more air quietly and efficiently is necessary.

"The days of outdoor tools interrupting the soundscapes of our daily lives are coming to an end,” said Andrew Terajewicz, Head of Product for Whisper Aero. “Our aerospace WhisperDrive™ technology, paired with Stanley Black and Decker’s expertise in tools and outdoor equipment, marks a new era of performance for all air-moving products."
