Former Ag OEM Exec Releases 4th Leadership Book
Cleo Franklin Jr., a former executive at Mahindra, New Holland and Deere, has released his fourth book on leadership. The book — Conversations with Cleo — is a collection of essays largely with a predominant focus on leadership, featuring wisdom and inspirational instances from Franklin and other accomplished business leaders. The new book expands upon Franklin's insights into personal and professional leadership development from his first book, “Coffee with Cleo,” as well as his second book “Lessons from our Mothers and Fathers,” which examined life-shaping moments in the young lives of leaders.
The World's First Power-Driven Lawn Mower
Bolens was started in 1850 by Harry Bolens and John Gilson in Port Washington, Wisconsin as the J.E. Gilson/ H.W. Bolens Manufacturing Co originally. In 1919, Bolens introduced the first power-driven garden tractor. Immediately following World War II Bolens was acquired by FMC Corporation.

Looking Back: ‘I Didn’t Listen to My Uncle Roy’
In another installment of our sister publication Farm Equipment's "Looking Back" series, Jon Eis of Eis Implement gives his personal take on the top moments that changed the dealer world. "One of the most significant differences in today’s world is the access to capital," he says. "Would so many dealerships have failed in the 1980s had there been more banks willing to take the added risk?"
