Honda North Carolina Manufacturing (NCM) in Swepsonville announced July 21 a new model to its production lineup — a FourTrax Rancher all-terrain vehicle (ATV). The North Carolina plant has become the exclusive production source for Honda ATVs in North America.

"By the end of September, NCM will discontinue production of lawnmowers due to market forces such as stricter environmental regulations and shifting customer preferences to become the sole producer of Honda ATVs in North America, enabling SCM to expand Honda side-by-side production to meet increasing customer demand for Honda’s popular Pioneer and Talon sports models," the press release said.

Rural Lifestyle Dealer broke the news in October 2022 that Honda would end its lawn mower production by September 2023 and left over inventory will be offered in 2024 until it is sold out.
