According to the latest data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), under 40 horsepower tractor sales were down month-over-month in June in Canada but rose slightly in the U.S.
U.S. compact tractor sales totaled 18,106 units in June, up 0.2% from 18,075 in June 2022. Year-to-date sales came in at 86,389, down 13% from 99,333 this time last year. Beginning inventory in June was 108,194 vs. 60,328 at the same point last year.
In Canada, under 40 horsepower tractor sales totaled 1,750, down 19% from 2,160 in June 2022. This brought year-to-date compact tractor sales to 7,847, down 21.7% year-over-year from 10,026. Beginning inventory was 6,862, up from 6,813 at the same point last year.
