Throwback: A 2009 Interview with Ariens CEO Daniel Ariens
Our official Green Bay Packers stockholders package arrived and saw the official correspondence was from Dan Ariens, Packers Secretary and Ariens CEO. Reminded us of an in-depth interview Mike Lessiter did with Dan for Rural Lifestyle Dealer magazine, and was followed by a personal note from Dan to current Lessiter Media intern Owen Lessiter encouraging him on his lawn-mowing business following the family’s “new to us” purchase of an Ariens ZTR.
Moline, Ill. Famous for Other Things, Too
In 1938 in Moline, Illinois, John Fremont McCullough and son Alex developed a way to make soft-serve ice cream. Two years later, the McCulloughs opened the first “Dairy Queen” on June 22, 1940, and propped up our nation’s dairy industry for 83 years.
Greenway Equipment Annual Fundraiser with a Country Music Twist
Greenway Equipment is back with its annual food bank fundraiser. The Weiner, Ark.-based John Deere dealer (and Farm Equipment 100™️ member) is counting every donation as an entry to win one of two Gator utility vehicles previously owned by country music star Jason Aldean. The funds raised through the giveaway will be donated to combat food insecurity for children in Arkansas and Missouri.

Mowing at 12 Miles per Hour...
Farmer and YouTuber Rockhill Farm recently put their Hustler X-One's claim of mowing 7.5 acres per hour to the test and recorded speeds of up to 12 miles per hour in the process. As one commenter pointed out, at that speed and with that bumpy ground, it's a miracle the roof stayed on.
