Looking Closer at Bobcat's CONEXPO Reveals

You may recall that in last week's Best of the Web, we looked Bobcat's teaser for its fully driverless compact loader, the RogueX. To get a better understanding of that machine and Bobcat's first all-electric skid-steer loader, the Bobcat S7X, the folks at iVT International spoke with Bobcat at this year's CONEXPO for further details on these new machines.

Develon Enters the Compact Track Loader Market

Develon announced its entry into the compact track loader market at this year's CONEXPO. Doosan Infracore rebranded itself as Develon in February of this year. A recent report from Equipment World said the new machine — the DTL35 — "is still in prototype stage, but is expected to hit the market in 2024 after more testing with the company’s dealers. It will be the largest in a three-model lineup, at a rated operating capacity of 3,657 pounds. Two more CTL models are also planned after that in 2024." Develon's Product Management Director Thomas Lee goes over the DTL35's features.

Breaking Down the Latest R2R Legislation

Colorado right to repair House Bill 1011 passed a vote in the Colorado Senate on March 16. According to a March 16 report from Colorado Politics, the bill would "require manufacturers to sell tools, parts and digital access to farmers and independent repair shops to diagnose and fix problems with equipment, beginning in 2024." In this episode of Farm Equipment's Thought Leader Series, Associate Editor Ben Thorpe sits down with North American Equipment Dealers Assn. (NAEDA) Vice President of Government Affairs Eric Wareham to discuss what the bill contains, its future path and how it might affect dealers in Colorado.
