Bobcat may soon have its own compact articulated tractor on the market, according to a social media post from a Canadian Bobcat dealer.
At the manufacturer’s dealer meeting on March 8, 2022, Bobcat of Toronto posted 4 photos to their Instagram account of a compact articulated tractor branded as the Bobcat AT2025. The post’s caption reads: “Another cool reveal at the #Bobcat Dealer Meeting was the concept for the new Bobcat AT2025 articulated compact tractor.”
The existence of the Bobcat AT2025 was reported by Copper Creek Cuts Lawn Care in a Dec. 21, 2022, YouTube video. In his analysis of the photos, he points out the similarities between the AT2025 and a Steiner 450 articulated tractor, specifically that the foot peg on the AT2025 appears to be the same as the one used on the Steiner 450. He also draws attention to a Feb. 22, 2022, Facebook post from Bobcat of Athens, where the dealer states the AT2025 will be available later in 2022. As of this article’s publication, there has been no public announcement from Bobcat about the AT2025’s release.
Rural Lifestyle Dealer reached out to Bobcat for comment on the photos and received the following response:
“The photos and videos you are referencing are likely from our dealers who attended the 2022 Bobcat Dealer Meeting. This is an appreciation and engagement event we host every 3 years to not only celebrate our incredible dealer network, but to evaluate new worksite solutions and gauge product interest. We featured a prototype of a Bobcat-branded articulated tractor to our dealers at this event to gauge interest. Bobcat is still exploring plans for this machine, and we don’t have anything additional to share at this time.”
When asked to confirm whether or not the tractor was a re-branded Steiner model, Bobcat declined to provide additional details.
Bobcat announced back in December 2019 that it would be acquiring the assets of BOB-CAT Mowers, as well as the Steiner and Ryan brands of equipment Schiller Grounds Care Inc.
