Canada Gets Its First Bobcat Electric Compact Excavators
Cooper Equipment Rentals, a construction rental company based out of Ontario, announced Dec. 20 it had received Canada's first shipment of Bobcat E10e electric compact excavators to its head office. The units remained on display through the holidays and are being rented out to kick off the new year.
Walker Manufacturing's History of Change & Innovation
Throwing it back to 2018, Rural Lifestyle Dealer's former Managing Editor Lynn Woolf sat down with Walker Manufacturing's second-generation owner Bob Walker. They talked about the company's history and his memories of how he, his late dad (Max) and brother (Dean) rose from the brink of failure on several occasions to take a leading position in the zero-turn mower market, for which they are famous today.
Irish UTV Attachment Manufacturer to Enter U.S. Market
Quad-X, a manufacturer of sprayers, weed wipers and mower attachments for UTVs and ATVs, recently announced it will enter the U.S. market and be an exhibitor at the 2023 World Ag Expo. Founded in 1993 in Northern Ireland, Quad-X also has a tractor attachment division — Blaney Agri Solutions — which was founded in 2005.
'Elawn Musk' Makes an RC Tractor Autonomous
Content creator Brandon Action Johnson — who occasionally refers to himself as "ELawn Musk" – has been documenting his journey in turning a Chinese remote controlled lawnmower into an autonomous lawnmower over on Youtube. He details the entire process, including the components he used, how he connected them and how the software works.
Equipment Thief Poses as Manager to Steal Lawnmower
Crooks will look for any angle they can to make off with a store's equipment, including impersonating others. One Tractor Supply Co. in Tennessee found that out the hard way, when an equipment thief posed as a manager from a different store to steal a $3,600 lawnmower for a "store-to-store transfer."
