Electric UTV Catches Fire at Automotive Tradeshow
At the recently held 2022 SEMA Show, a tradeshow focusing on the automotive industry, one unlucky exhibitor suffered the same fate as a certain DeWalt mower did at this year's Equip Expo. Footage from the event shows the gray, unbranded UTV smoking in the parking lot of the show as firefighters attempt to put it out. Youtuber Jalopy Jeff provides some insight into why battery fires can be difficult to put out.
Safety Tip: Keep Your Hair Away From Leaf Blowers
This might come as a shock to some, but human hair does not mix well with the inner workings of a leaf blower. One TikTok user posted the unfortunate results of not knowing this fun fact and was kind enough to help fix the situation. The silver lining, however, is that this combination does create an interesting hairstyle for the unfortunate user.

The industry recently lost an important figure. Generac announced on Nov. 9 the passing of its founder Robert Kern at the age of 96. Kern started the company in his garage in Wales, Wis., in 1959 and sold it in 2006 to shift his focus to philanthropy.

Shaquille O'Neal Visits Louisiana Dealer for Gravely Mower
The folks over at Southland Engine Company Inc., a Gravely dealer out of Lafayette, La., recently had the honor of helping 4-time NBA champion Shaquille O'Neal pick out a new Gravely mower.
Welcoming @SHAQ to Team Gravely! The legend himself stopped by Southland Engine Co. Inc to purchase a mower of his own. A great athlete with great taste. #TeamGravely pic.twitter.com/xUc6GoSYsC

Stihl Warns of Fake Stihl Products During Holiday Season
The rural lifestyle industry isn't safe from counterfeiting. Stihl put out a statement on Nov. 10 on Twitter letting folks know about a number of companies selling fake Stihl products that can appear to be legitimate. Hopefully this doesn't lead to too many disappointing Christmas mornings for consumers, and it serves as a great reminder of the quality assurance customers get when they go to a dealer instead of searching for a "deal" online.
SCAM ALERT! Fake STIHL Websites.

With the holiday shopping season here, consumers wanting to shop for STIHL products should only purchase from our official website or an authorized local STIHL dealer. To visit our official site, please click below.
