The latest market data report from Constellation Data Solutions shows that OPE dealers saw a 15% drop in revenue year-over-year in July. This follows a 2% increase in June and flat 10% growth in May. This data is based on “same store” results of dealers who have submitted data each month for 3 years in a row.
In the U.S., tractor dealers reported July revenue was down 16% year-over-year. However, in Canada, dealers reported 11% revenue growth for the month. Much like with the OPE dealer report, the south saw the largest declines at –24%. Revenues in the South have been on a steady decline since March. In the Northeast, dealers reported revenue in July was down 18%, and in the West dealers reported a 16% drop. For Midwest tractor dealers, revenue was down 9% year-over-year in July.
The report is based on 1,525 dealers, who during the month sold 273,000 new wholegoods units and did $4 billion in total sales.
