Wednesday night, a fire with smoke coming from the building, occurred at LandMark Implement, a John Deere dealership in Hastings, Neb., reports 1011 Now.

According to Adams County emergency manager Ron Pughes, the shop and work area were engulfed in flames. Although the dealership's show room wasn't affected by the fire, smoke damage is a possibility. 

As a steel-framed building, it was difficult to enter the roof, forcing the firefighters to cut holes into the side of the building for the smoke to escape. 

"It's been a difficult fire to fight," Pughes said.

The fire was put out around 3 a.m. and is being monitored for hot spots. 

LandMark Implement released a statement:

"LandMark Implement in Hastings is closed until further notice. Please contact us via cell phone or our after-hours numbers. We will send out updates as we receive them." 

"We would like to express our gratitude to the firemen that worked diligently to put out the fire and mitigate the losses. We are very thankful to be a part of such a supportive community."

The cause of the fire is unknown and will be investigated by the State Fire Marshal's Office.
