Alamo Group has announce the following leadership changes within its North American Agricultural Group, which includes our Bush Hog, RhinoAg, Schulte and Herschel operating companies.
Tom Taylor, GVP North American Ag, has announced his plans to retire from Alamo Group on June 30, 2022. Taylor has been with the Alamo Group for 20 years, having joined the team in 2002. Prior to his last role as VP Specialty Markets, Taylor served in various roles for Alamo Group Inc. to include VP Business Development for the Agricultural Division, VP Sales and Marketing for Bush Hog, Director of Sales and Marketing for Alamo Group Inc., and Director of Sales and Marketing for RhinoAg.
Dan Samet is being promoted to replace Taylor as North American Ag Group Vice President, effective May 15, 2022. Samet started his career with Alamo Group in the engineering department in 2006, progressively taking on roles of greater responsibility before becoming President of RhinoAg in 2014. Under his leadership and with the help of his team, RhinoAg has developed a team-focused work culture that emphasizes a safety-first approach, while demonstrating sales growth and increased profitability.
Samet led the integration after the acquisition of Dixie Chopper, which was completed in 2019. After studying agricultural engineering at Danville Area Community College and the University of Illinois, Samet began his career at Hyster/Yale, where he worked in the Special Products Engineering Department for 10 years, before joining Alamo Group.
