BURLINGTON, Vt. — The members of the Machinery Advisors Consortium (MAC) are pleased to accept Leo Johnson to their team. His lifetime of experience in and around dealerships and his desire to help others make him a valuable addition. Fellow dealers and manufacturers know his expertise in growing existing businesses, recognizing opportunities, and building value at the retail level to serve farmers, small contractors, and rural lifestylers. His leadership extends to community service to schools, church and local businesses.
George Russell, managing member of MAC states, “I’ve known Leo and his family for almost 30 years and have seen them grow from 1 store to 5 stores representing Case IH and Kubota at the highest level of performance recognition. I’ve seen his leadership in MAC Performance Dealer Groups, on OEM Dealer Advisory Boards, and on the editorial board of Farm Equipment magazine to leverage his experience in support of other dealers and the industry.”
As President and CEO, Johnson Tractor was cited at ‘Dealership of the Year’ in 2012 where he was called ‘a dealer’s dealer’. As a MAC Advisor, his most recent experiences are relevant to clients of MAC, including fostering a generational change, growing internal leaders, building a greenfield state of the art facility, buying and selling real estate and in M&A.
While retired from daily responsibilities at Johnson Tractor, in addition to consulting to dealers through MAC, Johnson continues to farm, play music, travel and maintain a fit lifestyle that includes challenging his dealer friends to long runs. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin system with a BBA and MBA in Marketing.
MAC is a team of professionals who coach equipment dealers to peak performance through training, consulting, and coaching. The now thirteen MAC Advisors have more than 445 years of combined experience in distribution for capital equipment.
