This program features Steve Shankin, president of ViaLink and Seizmik. ViaLink consults with manufacturers on UTV development and Seizmik is a manufacturer of UTV accessories. Shankin discusses what he describes as “massive missed opportunities” for equipment dealers when it comes to selling UTVs and accessories.
Steve Shankin says that dealers have many opportunities to earn more when selling UTVs and accessories by recognizing that customers who purchase UTVs are often first-time visitors to the dealership and their mentality is more like someone buying a pickup as opposed to someone buying a tractor.
Unfortunately, customers are not leaving dealerships with good impressions. One recent study shows that only 29% of those customers who bought a UTV considered their dealer to be a great resource. Listen in for Steve’s thoughts on the UTV buying experience.
