OPE Dealer Revenue Drops 8% in March

Same-store outdoor power equipment dealer revenues dropped for the 9th consecutive month in March, according to the latest report from Constellation Dealer Insights.

The report is based on a group of dealers who have reported their data over the previous 3 years. The dealer count, wholegood unit sale count, and total sales numbers above show the actual number of dealers and total sales being analyzed. It represents combined sales of parts in all departments, wholegood sales and service repairs.

Dealers reported $267 million in revenue in March, down 8% year-over-year and but up vs. February’s revenue of $122 million.

On a regional basis, U.S. revenue was down 8% while it was up 53% in Canada. In the U.S. the Midwest and South regions saw the largest declines at 9%, while the West reported 1% revenue growth.

The report is showing a year over year average with a yellow line indicating the current year performance over the previous year.
